That was that until he applied to go on the TV show Come Dine with Me, when its producers were looking to do a show in Doncaster.

"Then Keith spotted me on the television six weeks ago on Come Dine With Me, and phoned me up.
"In the end, the high point for us was probably Moondreams although we didn't want to do that song.

But 180 miles away in London, someone who watched the programme knew of his secret musical past his former drummer Keith Guster. By this point his old band had developed a cult following and a biography was in the pipeline. Collectors now pay hundreds of pounds for their version of Moondreams.
They will have a session musician on keyboards, because no one has been able to find their former keyboard player. "I hope he hears about what we're doing and gets in touch," said Dan.
Dan was accepted onto the show and won the 1,000 prize after giving his dinner guests an impromptu serenade with his guitar at his party. He never mentioned to them he had been in a 60s band.
It is the culmination of a string of events which has turned Dan's life upside down.
"I hadn't forgotten the songs I still play the guitar, and I wrote some of them anyway, so it was quite easy. It was more difficult jamming again together and that wasn't successful at first, but we gave it another go and got it going in the end."
"I was so surprised talk about skeletons from the past! I never thought I would hear the name Fleur de Lys again, let alone be drawn into it again. I certainly didn't expect it to go this far with us playing at the 100 Club and putting out a record. The concert is already a sell out.
Now a biography has been written about the band, and they have reformed for the one off show, which will include Robert Page in the audience. He had been contacted by the other band members Keith and Frank several months before they traced Dan, and they had arranged to buy the mastertapes of their old session back. Now they are releasing the four track EP The Two Sides of The Fleur de Lys complete with Wait for Me.
He joined the band as a 17 year old living in Southampton in 1964, and flirted with fame with bandmates Frank Smith, Keith Guster and Alex Chamberlain.
He moved to Doncaster soon after he Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Br Neon

And his return to music does not stop there. He and his pals from the 1960s mod group The Fleur de Lys are also releasing a recording they made in Pink Air Max 90 1964 of one a song wrote.
Dan said: "We got so close in the 60s the Kinks manager wanted to sign us, but he wanted 40 per cent of the money. We turned him down. He went on to sign The Who, and I think he would have got us to number one.
Dan gave up his dreams of being a pop star and trained as a tailor, establishing himself in his own successful business in Doncaster.

They even released a single, a cover of a Buddy Holly song Moondreams, which made the lower reaches of the charts, and recorded a number of other songs, with Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page producing them.
left the band, because his sister was living in Wheatley, and it proved easier to get a bank loan to set up in business than in the South. He married and settled in the borough.
They performed up and down the country and were on the same bills as legends including The Kinks, the Hollies and the Searchers.
But today he is preparing for a reunion show at a legendary London venue, and will soon see a recording he thought had been lost forever finally hit the record shops all because he was Air Max 90 Breathe White
Dan, from Tickhill, who runs Churchill's Tailors on Market Place, is set to dig out his bass guitar again to headline a live gig at the 100 Club on Wednesday with friends he has not seen since the 1960s after they recognised him on Come Dine With Me.
But Dan left in 1966, with the band disappointed at the choice of single and even more down in the dumps that his own composition, Wait for Me, had not even been used on the B side, which they had expected.
"But I always feel when there is an opportunity arises you should grab it.
Keith contacted the show's producers, and they put him in touch with Dan.
