stepping up its game with the new Lynx 4, which it recently launched in Europe. The design has just 100mm of rear travel, but this isn't a anorexic race whippet. The burly carbon construction features Syntace's 142x12 rear axle, a direct mount front derailleur and press fit BB, one mother of a massive tapered head tube. Frame weight is certainly respectable at 5 lbs, or a reported 25 lbs built with a mid range kit and tubed tires (according to BikeRadar's initial review.)

corner like a slalom bike without needing to reach for the ProPedal switch, and uses a 69 degree static head tube angle which together promise fun and aggressive trail characteristics.

Dirt is another story. After a series of super light hardtails (yaaaawn) and rather pedestrian suspension designs, BH is Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Moire Navy Blue

Weagle claims the design is supple on small bumps yet still accelerates as one would rightly expect of a 100mm carbon frame. Unlike a conventional 100mm carbon "race" bike, Weagle says the Lynx 4 is tuned to Nike Air Max 90 Winter Premium Medium Grey

LicenseDave Weagle has found another buyer for his Split Pivot full suspension design in BH Bicycles, which joins Morewood and Devinci as licensees.

Distinct from the so called DW Link twin link designs used by Turner, Pivot and Ibis, Split Pivot debuted around 2007 as a simpler, Nike Air Max Excellerate 3 more straightforward full suspension design with a rear pivot that is concentric to the rear axle. Sound familiar? This design feature is also a key component of Trek/Gary Fisher's ABP (Active Braking Pivot) used in the company's full suspension bikes. While the designs are very similar and disputes over who first developed the technology continue, Weagle and Trek have both been awarded patents on their designs and both companies continue to make their own versions of the concentric pivot/axle design. distributor happens to be Pivot Cycles, and they only bring in the company's road offerings. If you do want to check out a Split Pivot design that you can ride and own, then Devinci is certainly worth a look. With three highly polished models, Devinci has by far the most aggressive commitment to the Split Pivot design. Devinci bikes are made in Canada and increasingly distributed in the Lower 48. Split Pivot incaration worth a look is the Morewood Sukuma 6 inch trail bike.
