Fond du Lac will soon be rocking out to Poison, on Saturday, July 21, at the Fond du Lac County Fair, thanks, in part, to 25 year old native, Dana Strutz, who is bringing her dream back to her hometown.Dana works as a promoter for Bret Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Solar Blue

Michaels, a Poison band member, and has also helped coordinate and promote other national recording and entertainment stars such as Dokken, Warrant, FireHouse and LA Guns.Always having a passion for music, Dana knew from the very start that she wanted a career in the music industry. As a 1999 graduate of Goodrich High School, and student at UW Fond du Lac, Dana searched for her niche, participating in band and choir, in addition to general courses.Dana soon learned of McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN, and later graduated with an associate's degree in music business in December of 2005."Music is what I wanted to do, but business was always my forte," said Dana of her college experience.With a music degree under her belt, Dana was determined to continue her education in the field and soon became an intern at Artist Representation and Management (ARM), also located in St. Paul. It wasn't long after her January 2006 start as an intern that Dana began to climb the industry ladder, moving from her internship into a paid position, to secretary, assistant to the vice president and finally accepting a promotion as the president's assistant/agent.Her title enabled her to work with some of the best agents in the business, coordinating national tours. Dana's latest project is handling event coordination for The Boneyard Saloon Amphitheater in Sturgis, SD. This has become ARM's largest client this year."In the beginning, it was all a transition. Before I could get comfortable and settled in one position, I would be moved up to another. I was learning so much so quickly and really getting my feet wet," said Dana.In addition to the national scene, Dana also enjoys developing the independent artist in all aspects of the music industry. As a volunteer for Diverse Emerging Music Organization, (DEMO), she has done everything from street team marketing to judging Karaoke contests. establish herself in the industry."My father was always asking me when I was going to start my own company, and things finally fell into place for me to do it," said Dana.Using her industry appropriate last name (Dana Strutz) started Strutz Your Stuff Entertainment, Inc. and is coming back to Fond du Lac to test it out. Her first promotional endeavor will be the coordination of Exclusive After Show Party and Meet and Greet with Bret Michaels of Poison. The event is in coordination with The Poison's 2007 Summer Tour.The after show party will be held at the American Legion Hall, located near the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds, on Fond du Lac Avenue.
